SYSTEM 3
Some of you know we started out as 3 guys (for those who don't
know: where the hell have you been?) and now the producer is only
one, as "when the going gets tuff, the tuff get going".
We've been around for a while now, and we're getting really fucked
off with these guys trying to make everything sound the fuckin' same.
Moreover, we are proud to say that our productions are "shit-free":
no computerized studios, only sinthesizers and 909!
If you need an example of what we're talking about, just think about
"keep on fuckin'" or "like a shot". System 3 started producing for D-boy records some years ago.
They released five singles with them: "My place" - that
contained the well known number one's (the best hardcore club in Italy)
hymn "shut up!" , "Trilogy" - (I've got the devil
inside), "A new dance", "The rule of three", "Keep
on fuckin'" - (No comments needed for this hit!)
Then they moved, for reasons that some people know, to Aeon Tracks.
CRIME LAB
Making music is like chemistry. You start with simple elements and
experiment to find a way for these parts to bond and become something
more complex, more diverse.
As most producers start with basically the same essential elements.
The way we build something is what tells us apart. Crime lab is another discovery made by Aeon Tracks in year
2000. They released their first single together with System 3, the
"Eternal shine" E.P. (We are moving). Their second
was "The dope of mankind"... and the hit arrived with the
third, "4 the hardcore".
They like producing medium-speed tunes, with a fresh atmosphere and
sharp drum sounds; they experimented with "new style", but
they usually prefer the classic 4/4 rhythm.
ALEX BUNKERFREAK Alex Bunkerfreak came to our headquarters to remix Deevoid's
"Inner core"; at the same time Crime Lab was recording "The
final sunset" and so we decided to try him immediately: that's
why on the record you find his remix as well!
He fit in straight away, and his fresh ideas convinced all of us the
same day we met him. This man with his first record "Nuked"
managed to get some licenses abroad and a contract with Aeon Tracks.
This means that his decision of taking a break from DJing and come
to do some studio work was really good.
DEEVOID « I've been producing techno for some years, under other
psueudonims, of course. Then I decided to take a look at the hardcore
scene.
I liked it, first of all because it's stronger and harder than pure
techno, (as hardcore is its natural evolution), then also because
I wanted to change.
I am very impressed by many products and producers I have heard around,
but I prefer to save my personal style, having as little influences
from the outside world as possible.
I try to take what I like as inspiration, and filter it thru my previous
experience.
Thanks to my mate S., who writes the lyrics for my music, I am now
a member of the Aeon family.... and I intend to stay here...» Deevoid is the first solo artist working for Aeon Tracks.
He was producing techno, hidden in the shadows, remaining nearly anonymous.
He works together with his best mate, an english writer that provides
the known sharp and allucinated lyrics for his music.
His productions are obscure: his techno-influenced choices are evident.
MAX E-CREW
The future is unknown. We have the power to control our destinies,
but if we don't act, everything could become as some science fiction
writers or movies described it. Machines and artificial intelligence
could take control over human beings, over our lives.
The relationship between man and machine has always been one of the
most fascinating topics.
Remember Blade runner, 2001: Space odyssey, Terminator, etc...? That's
what we mean. Max e-crew, together with System 3, started their career working
with D-boy records, and... guess what! They moved to Aeon Tracks.
With D-boy they released three singles:
- "Drop the old school beat" (one of the very first downtempo
in recent history)
- "Metalware (Cutmasters)"
- "Dance of death"
Their style is devoted to follow the inspiration given by the early
PCP productions, and their obscure vision of the future comes out
in every tune: sounds and beats are clean, but the main structure
of their productions is sinister, dissonant sometimes.
